2014 Year in Review
Greetings friends! We sure are thankful for the love and friendship you all send our way every year. We count you all as big blessings in our lives. But enough about you, it’s all about us! Prepare yourself for Bigler Brag Fest 2014!! Except there’s been no major awards to tell you about. (dang it!) There was a book. I wrote a book! It’s more of “booklet” if you will. You know like a trashy mag, only it’s a crafty mag. So that’s exciting! Here’s a quick look back at our 2014.
2014 was overall a great year for us. With some big highs and some really sad lows. Here’s each month in a nutshell (“Help!! I’m in a nutshell!”)
January – Avery turned 11! In January she played Amy Lawrence in her fifth grade play and was so fun to watch. She was so into it! We all loved watching her.
February – Disneyland and the beach! A trip to Disneyland with all of our Tyler cousins?! Our kids were in heaven. Plus it was our first time to the new CarsLand, which was so fun!
March – not much happened in March, but it sure is fun watching these sweet kids grow.
April – Hope of America! This year as a fifth grader, Avery was in the flag for the Hope of America. // We love visiting Afton’s grave as part of our Easter traditions. We are so thankful to know that through our Savior, we can be with her again.
May – Kyle and I celebrated our 15th Anniversary!
June – Aiden turned 6! Plus lots of Summer lovin’ with our sweet Rukkus. (Not shown here: Road bike season is in full swing for Kyle. His morning rides are long and steep and he loves them!)
July – In July our sweet dog Rukkus died unexpectedly. You can read the sad story here. We are still so sad about how we had to say goodbye to our perfect little pal.
August – Back To School // Bike Rides // Summer rainstorms // visits with Afton
September – a fun family trip to Universal Orlando! …for the best frozen Butterbeer and all things Harry Potter // a Homecoming football game to see our cute niece cheer
October – We had the most beautiful October this year. It was so warm and the fall colors were amazing. Fall Hikes with cousins // Family Bike rides // Pumpkin Patches // My sweet Grandpa Tag passed away. He was 89 and we are really going to miss him.
November – Celebrating our little Afton – 3 years // birthday dinners for Kyle and our twinsie moms – Twinning!!
December – We couldn’t wait til Christmas to get a new dog. Meet Tubbs! He’s our new little pup. He’s tiny…Tiny Tubbs. We are in full puppy mode over here and loving it!
We wish you all the best of the season: lots of quality family time filled with the Christmas Spirit in your homes. So thankful for the birth of our Savior the ultimate gift we all share. Merry Christmas to you all!
Fun look back:
