Thrift Store Before and After
I have a few fun thrift store before and afters to share with you today. Oh the beauty of spray paint!
First up…bunnies…Easter bunnies!
These bunnies are made of solid wood, which is a plus. I love knowing that wood won’t break…it’s very kid friendly. I love hunting through the wood items at the thrift store. These bunnies had a classic shape and I knew they would look great painted a glossy white.
Here’s the fun before and after. Isn’t it crazy how spray paint can make them look so different?
Next up…I found these pretty big paper mache eggs. They were light weight and sturdy. The only problem was their colors…so not Easter. Easy enough to fix…
Ahh…isn’t that so much better? Nice bright white with pastel-y colors. Now they look more like Easter decor.
It was a little tricky deciding how to paint these, with their odd shape. I found that cardboard drink holders turned upside down were perfect for holding them in place while I sprayed them all white. Then I hand painted each one with a different craft paint to show the fun designs on the eggs. I painted over the craft paint with a glossy clear coat so that the texture would match the gloss of the white.
That’s it! So much better, don’t you think?
Well, I hope you all have a wonderful Easter weekend with your family and friends. I hope the sun can come out where you are too. Happy Easter!
