Halloween Party Favors: Jack O’ Lantern in a box!
A little play on words for today’s post. When you first hear the words “Jack in the Box”, you probably think of the fast food restaurant, or maybe the original toy that startles you with a clown head jumping out at you. Scary! This was probably where my fear of clowns all began. So with the idea of the Jack in the box toy, only a lot less creepy, I came up with some fun Halloween party favors that are simple to make. Jack O’ Lantern’s in a box aka Jack in a Box Halloween party favors.
To start, you’ll need:
– small kraft jewelry style boxes (really any size or style box would work)
– bendable wire or small springs if you have them
– tape
– a pencil
– candy
– Halloween ribbon
– jack o lantern faces (I used scrapbook paper, you could use a plastic toy)
To start, take a small piece of bendable wire and wrap it around a pencil to make it spring like.
Now either hot glue or tape one end of the springy wire into the bottom center of the box.
I used Halloween scrapbook paper here, but you could also use a light weight plastic toy too. Any type of Jack O Lantern face.
Now tape your pumpkin face onto the other end of the springy wire. Isn’t it cute? Boing!
Then just fill with Halloween treats and wrap up with a decorative ribbon.
It will make for a fun surprise.
These would work great as a “you’ve been boo’ed” drop off treat too.
Have a great day!
