Toast a batch of S’mores Brownies for Halloween.
Sometimes it’s the simple ideas that are the best. S’mores + brownies is a match made in heaven. Swap regular marshmallows for ghost Peeps and make the cutest brownies on your Halloween party table. I have a thing for Peeps and S’mores…and brownies, so this was fun to bring them all came together. The funnest part of putting them all together, was the chance to use my mini culinary blow-torch. You could also use the broiler on your oven, but here’s your chance to buy the funnest foodie gadget around!
What you need to make Halloween S’mores Brownies:
- brownies: you can either make Brownies from scratch or use a box mix
- crushed graham crackers
- 1/2 stick of melted, butter
- marshmallow creme
- Halloween Ghost Peeps
- Small wooden skewers – or toothpicks
How to make Halloween S’mores Brownies:
- Make the brownies as directed.
- Mix together the crushed graham crackers with the melted butter.
- Out of the oven layer on the crushed graham cracker butter mixture. Let cool in the pan.
- Remove from the pan and cut into squares. Top each one with marshmallow creme. We liked the look of the messy marshmallow creme coming off the sides of each brownie square, but you could add the marshmallow creme before you cut into squares…it’s your preference.
- Toast the tops of the marshmallow creme with your culinary blow torch or oven broiler.
- Stick a wooden skewers into the peeps marshmallow ghosts and poke it into the center of your brownies. The wooden skewer just helps to keep the ghost peeps standing up right. You’ll have to let your friends know there’s a wooden stick in it before taking a big bite.
That’s it! Now you have the spookiest Halloween brownies around!
