Ingredients needed for Cranberry Orange Chocolate Bark:
- dark chocolate chips
- white chocolate chips
- almonds
- dried cranberries
- orange zest
How to make Cranberry Orange Chocolate Bark:
- First layer: Melt dark chocolate. Pour onto 11×17 silicone baking mat or waxed paper. Using a spatula spread thin. Sprinkle half of the almonds and dried cranberries. Chill.
- Second Layer: Melt about half the white chocolate. Add orange zest. As it is mixed it will “seize” or make the chocolate harden. If too much zest is added it will become too hard to roll. Between two pieces of waxed paper roll out the orange layer as big as the dark chocolate layer. Place orange layer on top of dark chocolate layer and press down. Chill.
- Last layer: Melt remaining white chocolate. Spread and smooth over the orange layer. Sprinkle remaining cranberries and press down gently. Chill.
- Break and enjoy: Break into your desired size and enjoy!
How to store Cranberry Orange Chocolate Bark:
Once you break up your bark, you can store it in an airtight container at room temperature. It will also taste delicious cold from the fridge!
Layers for Cranberry Orange Bark:
- Bottom layer-dark chocolate, almonds and dried cranberries: Melt dark chocolate. Spread melted chocolate on silicone baking mat or waxed paper. Sprinkle with almonds and dried cranberries. Chill.
- Middle layer-White chocolate infused with fresh orange zest: Melt half of the white chocolate. Stir in orange zest (this will cause the chocolate to “seize” or become harder. Make sure not to add to much orange zest or the chocolate will be too hard to roll out. Roll out until very thin. I rolled mine between 2 pieces of waxed paper which made transferring and clean up super easy. Place rolled orange layer onto hardened dark chocolate layer. Press down. Chill.
- Top layer-White chocolate, almonds and dried cranberries: Melt remainder of the white chocolate. Pour over hardened (chilled) middle layer. Smooth with spatula. Sprinkle almonds and dried cranberries. Chill
