Do you love to make a festive breakfast for Christmas? I love making something special for breakfast on holidays and birthdays. We usually have something sweet, like German Pancakes, so it’s nice to have a savory dish as well. This bacon egg and cheese breakfast wreath is so easy and most of it can be made a day ahead so you can enjoy more time with your family on Christmas morning.
What you’ll need to make this Breakfast Wreath:
- crescent roll dough
- bacon
- eggs
- cheddar cheese
- cream or milk
- tomatoes
- cilantro
How to make this Breakfast Wreath:
- Preheat: Preheat oven to 375.
- Cook bacon: Precook your bacon before you begin.
- Mix and scramble eggs: Mix together the eggs with the milk for fluffy scrambled eggs. Cook eggs over medium heat and scramble as you go. Set the eggs aside.
- Prepare dough: Open the can of crescent roll dough and place each triangle of dough in a circle shape with the wide side towards the center on a parchment lined pan.
- Assemble: Place a piece of bacon on top of each triangle of dough. Sprinkle the inner circle of the dough with half the grated cheese. Next, place a chunk of scrambled egg on top of each triangle, and sprinkle each one with more cheese. Pull each triangle point of dough over the egg and tuck under the inside of the breakfast wreath.
- Bake: Bake as directed on the can of dough: 11-13 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool.
- Garnish and serve: Garnish with three cherry tomatoes and a sprig of cilantro…to look like holly berries. Enjoy!
How to store this Breakfast Wreath:
You can store what you have leftover from this breakfast in a sealed container in the fridge. It will last up to 3 days!
Make ahead:

Bacon for your Breakfast Wreath:
You’ll want precooked bacon for this. It’s up to you if you’d like to buy precooked bacon at the store or just cook a bunch of bacon ahead of time, we love how easy it is to cook bacon in the oven (link). I recently made a bunch of bacon and then froze it. If you pack it flat in between paper towels and two cardboard pieces of an empty cereal box inside a gallon sized ziplock bag, you can freeze full pieces of bacon…plus no one will eat it, because they won’t know there’s bacon inside!
Crescent Roll Breakfast Wreaths:
The recipe and directions are super simple, and using prepackaged crescent dough makes it that much easier! Using the triangles that are already cut out, you can achieve the beautiful “wreath” look you want.
