Chicken Noodle Soup with Heart Shaped Carrots
You know the five love languages? I think there should be six. They left out: FOOD. I guess food might fall under the “acts of service” category, but I think it needs a category all on it’s own, don’t you? Here’s a sweet way to show your love with pure comfort food: make Chicken Noodle Soup with heart shaped carrots. With just a few extra cuts on the carrots, you can make these adorable tiny carrot hearts. You can really speed up the time on this recipe if you use a rotisserie chicken, giving you more time to make the cute heart shaped carrots. It’s chicken noodle…from the heart. We made a quick video to show you just how easy it is.
I love making a big pot of soup that can feed a crowd. We love leftovers at our house, and we can usually count on leftovers with this recipe. To go along with the chicken noodle soup, I made our favorite parmesan breadsticks. They’re so good, and super easy.
As soon as it starts to get colder here, I start to crave warm soups. This homemade chicken noodle soup recipe is one of our favorites. It’s total comfort food.

How to make Heart Shaped Carrots
To make heart shaped carrots, start with full sized carrots (not the prepared baby carrots).
-Peel the carrots with a vegetable peeler.
-With a knife make a v-shaped vertical cut down the center of the carrot.
-Make a vertical cut on the outside on both sides to make it into a V-shape.
-Finish off with rounding out the top of the heart shape by shaving off the top with a vegetable peeler.
-Slice the carrot into small bite sized heart shaped pieces.
It’s so easy, and so delicious…pure comfort food. This would be fun for Valentine’s Day or any day really! My family loved it.
