I hope you all had a wonderful long weekend celebrating Thanksgiving with friends and family. We’ve been busy decking the halls at our house this weekend, and I’m excited to share it with you. I’m really excited to show you our tree this year, because it’s flocked!
I’ve wanted a flocked tree for years, and we finally took the plunge, and I love it! This beautifully flocked Christmas tree is from Treetopia. They have so many beautiful trees, and SO many different and colorful trees! Over the last few years, we’ve had real trees, and it’s fun to mix it up. I think there are definitely pros and cons to both real trees and artificial. I will say I’m really enjoying the “pros” of our artificial tree this year a lot…like not having to worry about watering it for one!
To go with the flocked tree, I’ve created a simple “let it snow” theme for our tree. I’ve had this light weight sign for years now, and I just stuck it right onto the tree and I love it!
Also new this year, are these big cozy striped knitted Christmas ornaments from Treetopia. These big sweater looking ornaments are so fun! I always love red and white ornaments, and these work great with the “let it snow” theme for the tree.
The cream colored felted ball garland is from West Elm. We added these last year, and I love how it looks with the flocked tree.
This tree came pre-lit, but we also added a few strands of bigger bulb lights in white for some variation. I love the look of the big lights mixed with smaller bulb lights.
These giant foam snowflakes are so nice and light. I love ornaments that aren’t too heavy, and these are great. We have a few more small bins of our favorite nostalgic ornaments that the kids are excited to add to our tree this year that we will be adding later this week.
After 10 years in our home, we are finally finishing our basement (yippee!). With the construction, I’ve had to move most of our Christmas decor into storage and a lot of it I’m unable to access. So our decorations are on the “lighter” side this year, and I’ll be honest, I rather like it. Here’s a peek at our mantle. It’s very simple. I’m dreaming or a white Christmas…always.
The bottlebrush trees are from JoAnn’s craft store. The stockings are just hung on nails and secured with a little wire. I’m really liking the simplicity of the stockings. They are just like last year.
A trio of candy cane trees.
The thrift store Christmas decor frame and skates.
This year we’ve also added these potted pines from Treetopia on both sides of the front door. They’re a great height and come in a nice weighted pot.
Last but not least is this faux pine wreath. It’s amazing to me how real it looks! It’s the Winter Harvest Wreath from Treetopia.
Here’s a closer look. I love how it looks on our front door. Well, I have a few more projects I’ll be sharing this month as far as our Christmas decor goes, but this is it for now.
Have you decorated for Christmas yet? If you’re looking to add some fun new Christmas decor items this year, you’ll have to check out Treetopia! They have such a great selection of so many great Christmas decorations.
