Christmas Pancakes for a festive Christmas breakfast.
Not only are these pancakes adorable for Christmas, but they’re the best Buttermilk pancakes! Fluffy and dense… top them with our favorite buttermilk syrup. From Santa pancakes to Rudolph pancakes, Frosty the snowman pancakes and even a Christmas elf pancake. We will walk you through how to make a magical Christmas breakfast.
What you need to make Santa Pancakes:
- pancakes
- strawberries
- whipped cream from a can
- mini chocolate chips
- one marshmallow
How to make Santa Pancakes:
- Make the pancakes.
- Prepare the strawberries: trim the ends and slice in half.
- Place the strawberries cut side down on the top half of the pancake to make a Santa hat.
- Place one strawberry slice for his nose.
- Make a beard out of whipped cream, and follow it around to make the white trim of his hat.
- Place the marshmallow for the end of the hat.
- Place the mini chocolate chips for eyes.
What you need to make Rudolph Pancakes:
- pancakes
- cooked bacon strips
- canned whipped cream
- raspberries
- mini chocolate chip
How to make Rudolph Pancakes:
- Make the pancakes…Make three pancakes…one big for his head and two smaller for his ears
- Place the pancakes on the plate along with the bacon to look like the antlers.
- Place a small strip of bacon to look like a smile
- Line up a few raspberries to look like a red collar, and one raspberry for his red nose.
- Add a line of whipped cream for his collar and a dot of whipped cream for his eye.
- Place one mini chocolate chip in the whipped cream for his eye.
What you need to make Snowman Pancakes:
- pancakes
- cooked bacon strips
- mini M&Ms
- strawberry
- whip cream from a can
- powdered sugar
How to make Snowman Pancakes:
- Make two smallish pancakes, one bigger than the other. Place them onto the plate.
- Place one half of one strawberry above the top pancake.
- Place mini M&Ms on the pancakes to make eyes, a smile and buttons on the body.
- Add two strips of bacon for a scarf.
- Add whipped cream around the strawberry to make it look like a Christmas hat.
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar to look like snow.
What you need to make Elf Pancakes:
- -pancakes
- -green apple
- – strawberry
- -raspberry
- -mini M&Ms
- whipped cream from a can
How to make Christmas Elf Pancakes:
- Make the pancakes: one bigger two smaller for the elf ears.
- Slice one half of a green apple and cut that half into slices.
- Place the pancakes on the plate with the green apple slices above.
- Add whipped cream around the green apple to make it look like an Elf hat.
- Place the strawberry at the end of the hat.
- Place the mini M&Ms for the eyes and for the mouth
- Add one raspberry for the nose.
Ingredients for Buttermilk Pancakes:
-1 teaspoon salt
-2 teaspoons baking powder
-1 teaspoon baking soda
-2 cups flour
-2 tablespoons sugar
-2 eggs
-2 cups buttermilk
-2 tablespoons butter, melted
How to make Buttermilk Pancakes
-Preheat griddle to medium high heat.
-In a medium bowl, whisk together the salt, baking powder, baking soda, flour and sugar.
-In a separate bowl whisk together the eggs and buttermilk.
-Slowly add the melted butter to the eggs and buttermilk.
-Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix together until just barely combined.
-Add butter to the hot griddle. Add scoops of 1/2 cup of the pancake batter to the griddle.
-Cook on one side until you start to see bubbles begin to form. Flip the pancakes and cook until golden on both sides. Serve warm.
*Note the more you stir pancakes, the more flat and tough they will be so go easy on the mixing.
