We just returned from an amazing trip to Universal Studios in Orlando. Their newest ride: Despicable Me just opened this Summer, and my family and I were beyond excited to be invited out to experience it along with so many other exciting things at Universal.
I’m excited to share ALL about our trip, I took waaaay too many pictures. But today, I want to share one of our favorites from the weekend; the new Despicable Me ride – Minion Mayhem!
The new ride is a 3-D motion simulator ride. There are 3 separate parts to the ride: the before – the ride itself & the dance party at the end. The ride is so fun, you get turned into minions. 🙂 My kids loved the 3-D effects.
I would have to say that the dance party at the end of the ride is my favorite part, you get to dance with minions on the big screen. “Boogie Fever!”
We are big Despicable Me fans, I mean c’mon…who doesn’t love the minions?! (cutest ever!) So I knew this ride would be a hit with my kids. Along with the new ride, they have a fun new parade with all the Universal characters each evening. My kids loved the parade!
A minion had just walked into the room when we took this picture with Gru. I love how both the kids were in “awe” of the minion. So funny!
The gift shop at the end of the ride has so many fun things. “It’s so fluffy!!”
My kids were in minion heaven. 🙂
