Back again to share another fun project using Jen’s new paper line From Pebbles, inc. I love the trend of using clipboards to create wall art, or in this case a DY clipboard photo display.
There are so many cute 12×12 papers in Jen’s paper line. One of my favorites is called Best Day Ever, which has cute sayings and quotes.
To start this project, I gathered up 12 clipboards. Most of the clipboards were bought at the thrift store for cheap. I painted each one with black chalkboard paint and then spray painted the silver metal clip gold. When you spray the clip part gold, make sure to cover up the rest of the clipboard with paper and painters tape. I’m loving the gold with the black chalkboard combination. Each 12×12 paper was trimmed down to be framed inside each clipboard. I also used a corner rounder paper punch to round all the corners on everything.
Here’s just one of the twelve clipboards. I love how these clipboards can be changed out easily because the photos are not under glass. You can also easily add things to it like reminders or things to remember. It’s like a big visual scrapbook always on display. Here’s one of my favorites.
Along with the fun patterned papers, I used this polaroid shaped cutting die to make polaroid frames around my photos. I printed all these photos as square photos with Persnickety Prints (love them!), then I added the cute die cut polaroid frame around the photos.
I stamped a few of them with some cute sentiments from Jen’s cute clear stamp set.
I just love how it fills the wall with positive sayings and the faces I love.
Have you embraced the clipboard wall art trend? It’s a fun one!
This project features some of my favorite trends: chalkboards, polaroids and…snacks. Well, I guess not really snacks, but we always need snacks when we’re crafting…am I right?
