We’re so excited for the new LEGO Batman Movie to hit theaters on February 10th. We loved the LEGO Movie, and the trailer for this one looks so funny. Don’t you love animated movies for the kids where the adults can have a laugh too?
To celebrate the new LEGO Batman movie coming out, I’ve partnered with Warner Bros. Pictures to share a fun DIY: LEGO Batman Night Light.
If you have yet to see The LEGO Batman Movie trailer, this is for you. My kids are super excited to see it.
Okay…ready for a simple DIY?!
Here’s what you need to make LEGO Batman Night Lights:
–LEGO Batman printable masks (print on high quality photo paper)
-4oz. Baby Food Jars with the lid
-black spray paint (also yellow spray paint if you’d like to create regular LEGO head jars)
-battery operated tea lights
-glow stick bracelets (optional)
Tools:
-sharp scissors
-exacto knife
You can either use these little jars as party favors to be filled with candy…but only if you don’t spray the inside of the jars, they’ll be food safe. You can then fill them with candy or in this case, one battery operated night light.
Print and cut out the LEGO Batman printable. Use an Exacto knife to cut out the openings for the eyes.
For the LEGO Batman jar, add a little piece of tape over the jar where the eyes will be under the LEGO Batman mask before you spray the baby food jar and lid with black spray paint. This is where light will shine out for the night light.
Once the jars are dry and ready, you just tape the printable LEGO Batman Face to the jar and place the battery operated light inside of the jar and watch it glow! You could also try using a glow stick. These give LEGO Batman that cool glowing color to his eyes.
This is what it looks like with a glow stick bracelet,
Or you can use the battery operated tea light.
This is what it looks like with the tea light. To keep this craft kid safe, I think it’s best to only use the battery operated light, not a real flame. To make the regular LEGO Head faces, I just used a black sharpie.
That’s it! Super easy and your kids will be thrilled with their very own LEGO Batman head night light!
More about the movie:
The LEGO Batman Movie – In Theaters February 10
In the irreverent spirit of fun that made “The LEGO® Movie” a worldwide phenomenon, the self-described leading man of that ensemble – LEGO Batman – stars in his own big-screen adventure. But there are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if he wants to save the city from The Joker’s hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up.
Will Arnett reprises his starring role from “The LEGO Movie” as the voice of LEGO Batman, aka Bruce Wayne. Zach Galifianakis (“Muppets Most Wanted,” the “Hangover” films) stars as The Joker; Michael Cera (TV’s “Arrested Development”) as the orphan Dick Grayson; Rosario Dawson (TV’s “Daredevil”) as Barbara Gordon; and Ralph Fiennes (the “Harry Potter” films) as Alfred. Movie Rated: PG
