Here’s a fun project from my new book Washi Tape Christmas, that’s not so “Christmas-y”. With a rainbow of colorful and different washi tape rolls, you can create these fun gum ball party favors. I love how they look like a big lollipop, only the treat will be the gum balls.
These would be so fun at a >rainbow party…or even a St. Patrick’s Day party with a rainbow/pot of gold theme. Or you could do a more simple white/color rotation and make them work for any party color scheme. To start, you’ll need gum balls and these cute clear plastic gum ball tubes.
Here’s a picture to show how you get all the washi tape circles. By taping rows of washi tape onto white paper, you can easily punch out big circles of your favorite washi tape patterns. For these party favors, I used a bigger paper punch than is shown here. I believe the size of paper punch used for these favors is one inch. Once all your circles are punched out, you will then lay them in a circle pattern that you like and adhere them in the center with a large flat glue dot. The glue dot is forgiving and allows you to move them around so they are evenly spaced.
It’s a good thing I am a washi tape hoarder, how else could I have written a book on Christmas washi tape crafts in March?! Are you too crazy for washi tape?
You’ll have to try your hand at these fun favors, or you could even use this on the front of party invites or a birthday card. It would be so fun!
