New Embossing folders from Cricut.
I’m back today with more embossing goodness using the new 3D embossing folders for the CuttleBug from Cricut. I’m sharing some simple cards with a little 3D wow factor.
This first handmade card was made using the new 3D folder and border called Shower Blossom along with a few pieces of washi tape and some lime green baker’s twine.
I first embossed the kraft paper with the Shower Blossom 3D embossing folder and then I embossed the little tag stapled on top with the border from the set. I love how you can see the 3D depth on the Kraft paper.
The neat thing about these embossing folders are the layers of dimension they add to your projects or parties. At first I was trying to figure out what makes these new embossing folders different, and I think I see it now. If you look at the little bumps on this treat bag, you can see an overall design and you can see how the bumps are raised a little higher. That’s the 3D effect!
If you love all things paper crafting, and you want these, you can find them on Amazon, along with the new CuttleBug in blue!
3D embossing folders:
– Meadow Mountain
– Shower Blossom
– Tropic Bloom
– Fiesta
Here’s another embossed card using the 3D Fiesta embossing folder and border. If you look closely you can see that I embossed the washi tape on the card too. So fun!
The card is finished off with a little bow of baker’s twine and some pop dots to give dimension to the border that I hand trimmed.
Here’s a little tip for all of you who love to paper craft. Hang onto your paper scraps. Organize them by color. I have a big plastic tub where I keep all of my scraps except for all the white paper, the white gets it’s own tub, because I have so much. One of the reasons I love using the CuttleBug so much, is that it allows me to use up my paper scraps. I hate waste, so it does my heart happy to be able to use it all up in a creative way. As much as I love my digital electric paper cutter, only the CuttleBug is able to cut smaller or really small pieces of paper.
