Canned vs. Fresh Pineapple:
We’ve made these with both fresh pineapple and canned pineapple, and we prefer fresh over canned if available. You just can’t beat the good texture of a fresh juicy ripe pineapple. If you are unable to find a fresh pineapple, it’s nice to know you can still make it with canned pineapple rings if needed.
Different Ways to Serve:
- On a toothpick, skewer them together and serve on a platter with a sprinkling of parsley and sesame seeds.
- In a small crockpot set to low. With this option add browned Kielbasa and pineapple along with the sauce to your crockpot and use the warm setting. Sprinkle parsley and sesame seeds on top before serving. Using toothpicks, guests can serve themselves.
