Loews Royal Pacific Resort
One of the big highlights of our Universal Orlando trip (along with Harry Potter World and the new Despicable Me ride) was our hotel. We stayed at the Loews Royal Pacific Resort which is only a quick water taxi away from Universal Orlando’s two theme parks. It’s a beautiful hotel with an amazing pool. It’s one of three Loews Hotels really close to Universal Orlando.
You feel like you are in Hawaii when you are there.
The pool is amazing! This was the view from our room. We could see the Incredible Hulk rollercoaster and the Doctor Dooms Fearfall. One of the neat things about the pool at Loews is every night they have a poolside movie. They set up a big screen and play classic Universal movies while you swim.
We loved spending a few hours on our last day at the pool.
We even made a few new friends. 🙂
We ordered the most giant plate of nachos poolside. They were SO good! I’ve been craving these nachos ever since.
On our first morning there, we all gathered together to hear from the great people who make Loews the great hotels they are. They told us of the exciting plans they have for a brand new Loews hotel planned to open in 2014. It will be called the Loews Cabana Bay Beach Resort and it will be their 4th hotel near Universal Orlando. I love the style of this new hotel! It’s very 1960s Pacific Coast Highway and Route 66 inspired. The rooms have a fun modern retro feel. Once it’s open, it would be a very fun place to stay when visiting Universal Orlando.
On Saturday Night, the hotel hosts an authentic Luau. The food was excellent and the entertainment was so fun.
One of the big highlights for our kids on this trip was all the characters. It was so fun to see so many! Here’s a bunch of pics from our fun days at Universal Orlando.
If you get the chance to visit Universal Orlando, I highly recommend staying with an Orlando Loews Hotel.
** Universal Orlando Resort sponsored travel, accommodations and activities for my family and I during our stay at the resort. No compensation was received. Thoughts and opinions here are 100% my own. ** A major big thank you to Universal Orlando, Loews Pacific Resort and Mom it Forward for an amazing trip!
