Million Dollar Spaghetti for the ultimate baked spaghetti.
Million Dollar Spaghetti is like the ultimate baked spaghetti casserole…similar to baked ziti yet different. We’ve shared a really good baked spaghetti recipe before, one baked with an Alfredo sauce. If your family loves spaghetti, they will love this cheesy baked spaghetti. This is one of those recipes that are easy to double and take one to a friend in need or freeze one for later.

How to make Million Dollar Spaghetti:
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
2. In a large skillet set to medium high heat add the ground beef, onions, garlic, salt and pepper into the pan. Brown the ground beef.
3. When the beef is browned, turn off the heat, drain and remove the liquid left in the pan and mix in one cup of the marinara sauce.
4. Add the cooked spaghetti to the remaining 5 cups of marinara sauce. Toss the spaghetti in the sauce to coat the spaghetti in the sauce.
5. Mix together the cream cheese and 2 cups of mozzarella cheese in a bowl.
6. Layer it all into the pan in this order: Add half of the spaghetti with sauce to the bottom of a 9×13 pan.
7. Add the cream cheese mixture. Add the remaining spaghetti and sauce mixture.
8. Add the meat sauce mixture on top of the spaghetti. Finally top with the remaining cup of mozzarella cheese.
9. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
10. Uncover and bake for an additional 10 minutes to melt the cheese on top.
11. Out of the oven let it sit for 10 minutes to make it easy to cut into squares for serving.
Easy swap outs for this recipe:
-swap out the ground beef with Italian Sausage
-swap out the ground beef with cooked shredded chicken
-swap out the ground beef with cooked vegetables like zucchini
-swap out the cream cheese with ricotta cheese, cottage cheese or Mascarpone cheese
Can you freeze million dollar spaghetti?
Yes! Often times I will make two pans and freeze one for later. Once assembled, you will freeze assembled at the point right before you would put it into the oven.
The disposable 9×13 aluminum pans are great for this when you need to bring dinner to a friend in need.
How to reheat after frozen:
It’s best to let the frozen pan thaw in the fridge overnight.
If you bake it frozen the bake time will change from 30 minutes to one hour +.
