Our big Summer Road trip: Glasgow Montana
Hi Friends! I’m still recovering from our big Summer road trip from last week. What is it about a 15 hour drive (and eating junky…and seeing pictures of yourself in a swimsuit) that make you want to come home and go on a diet?! 😉
In other news, we had such a fun week with our family on my side. We’ve been looking forward to this trip with my family since Summer started. The kids have been counting down the days.
My mom’s parents live in the tiny town of Glasgow Montana . It’s pretty funny because my kids think it’s the best place ever. Isn’t that the best?! I love that they are able to make such fun memories in my Mom’s hometown, just like I was. I think if they were to stay longer than a week in Glasgow, they would think differently. We always keep the kids really busy while we’re there, plus cousins…lots and lots of cousins.
Here’s a bunch of favorite pictures from our trip:
My cute Mom jumping for joy. Happy to be back in Big Sky Country.
We always sing the Montana state song when we cross the border. We love Montana. I’ve been every Summer for as long as I can remember.
Our favorite little pizza spot in Glasgow. Eugene’s has the perfect thin crust.
We always spend a few days out at the lake. One of the days was so windy, but it turned out to be so fun! It was like waves in the ocean.
My poor brother dressed like a “big foot”. 🙂 My Mom planned a fun afternoon for the kids to hunt for the real big foot. At the end they found my brother. It was pretty funny! I’ll have to share more about all the fun activities they did.
Avery with my cute Grandpa. He’s 88 years old.
Earlier this year, Kyle bought a road bike for me. I’ve only been a few times, but I have really liked it. We both brought our bikes on the trip.
Kyle went for a ride every day while we were there. One of the days, he went 50 miles. He’s so into it!
My favorite night was the night we all went out to the big red barn. It is so beautiful out there! I have fallen in love with the beauty of the plains.
My BIL Bryan, Kyle and my brother T.R.
My first family. <3
My now family. <3
We took lots of jumping pictures.
The history of the Fort Peck Lake and Dam is so interesting. We drove out to see it. It’s currently under construction right now.
Avery at the top of the spillway. I’ll be honest, we were all a little freaked out having our kids up there so high. (acrophobia)
Out near the damn there is a dinosaur museum. So many dinosaur bones have been found out in this area.
We always make the best memories on our trip to Glasgow. …visiting two of my favorite people.
Love that big sky!
I hope you all are enjoying your Summer. Some of the best memories are made in the Summer.
I’d love to know, what’s the longest road trip you have ever been on?
