Easy Red Velvet Cheesecake Brownies.
We just love brownies, they are some of our most favorites treats. Red Velvet everything is especially fun this time of year. Red velvet cream cheese brownies are like having all your favorite desserts mixed into one. This easy recipe will become your new favorite to make because they are not just delicious, but also so easy to make with the use of a cake mix.
What you need to make red velvet cheesecake brownies:
- a box of red velvet cake mix
- melted butter
- eggs
- water
- cream cheese
- sugar
- vanilla extract
- baking dish
- non-stick cooking spray
How to make red velvet cheesecake brownies from a cake mix:
In a stand mixer or with a hand mixer mix together the cake mix, eggs, butter and water making sure that it is all well combined. The batter will not be like a traditional cake mix it will be much thicker and sticky, so don’t worry, this is the right consistency needed. Once the batter is well combined place the batter in a baking dish that has been sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. Place the dish aside and start the cheesecake layer.
How to make the cheesecake layer:
In a separate bowl mix together the cream cheese, egg, sugar and vanilla until well combined. Once all the ingredients have been well combined use a spoon to drop spoonfuls of the cheesecake mixture onto the red velvet layer. Bake the brownies for about 10 minutes and then remove the pan from the oven to run a knife through the batter to swirl the cheesecake and red velvet batters together. Return the pan to the oven and continue to bake for an additional 25 minutes or until set.
How to store the brownies:
These brownies once completely cooled can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days although I have a feeling that once your family tries these brownies, they won’t last a day!
