Turn a ring pop into a shamrock…a SHAZAMROCK Pop!
Happy March! March is a good one, because it’s one step closer to warmer weather. With St. Patty’s Day coming up, here’s a fun way to make sure to be pinch proof: Shazamrocks!…a shamrock ring pop.
Who doesn’t love a good statement ring, especially an edible statement ring. Since shamrocks are the iconic symbol for St. Patrick’s Day, a shazamrock can only be a step up from a shamrock.
What you need for a Shamrock Ring Pop:
- green ring pops (buy a few extras, just in case one breaks)
- green and gold card stock papers
- heart shaped paper craft punch
- mini craft glue dots
How to make a Shamrock Ring:
To make the paper hearts, it’s fun to have a few different colors and patterns of card stock paper to make different styles. Also two different sizes of heart craft punches is a nice option to layer hearts together.
If you have a manual die cutting machine like a CuttleBug, it’s great for small projects and for using up scrap pieces of paper.
Use the glue dots to stick the heart cutouts onto the plastic base of the ring to look like a shamrock around the candy.
Okay, so here’s the fun part, you can make your shamrock ring however you’d like. You can mix and match hearts and make it as glam or as simple as you’d like, get creative! These would be a fun kid craft at a St. Patrick’s Day party. To adhere the paper hearts to the plastic base circle, I used mini glue dots.
I’ve always had chubby digits, so a good statement ring is a nice distraction. (if you know what I mean.)
Okay I’d love to know which one is your favorite:
