Happy St. Patty’s Day! Here’s a quick little snack idea to add a little more green to your pinch proof day.
Some of these ideas a little healthy and a little not so healthy. It’s all about the green today, so here’s three ways to have a green snack or ideas to add to your green lunch. First up: Balloon Dipped Mason Jars.
I love this idea! I love serving drinks in mason jars, because it’s so casual, and I love that they’re not disposable. Say you’re hosting a party with friends, and you can’t tell who’s drink belongs to who…just add a cute colored balloon!
To make a balloon dipped jar, just snip off the long end of a balloon. Flip your jar upside down and stretch the cut balloon around the bottom of the glass jar.
This is a fun way to add color to non disposable drinking glasses. It’s fun to do them all the same color like we have here for St. Patty’s Day, but a bunch of random colors for a party would be so cute too!
Next up: sliced bell pepper clovers with the best ever veggie dip. So this idea didn’t go over so well with the kids, but you can’t deny the cuteness of the clover shape you get when you slice bell peppers this way!
If you slice too many, you can always add them into the fixings of fajitas for dinner!
Let’s be honest…most veggies are just the crunchy vehicle to get the dip into your mouth. (wink wink)
Last one: Granny smith apples with dip. Those green apple skins are a happy St. Patty’s Day snack, and the tartness of a granny smith apple tastes great with this easy fruit dip.
I didn’t really follow a recipe for the fruit dip, just marshmallow creme, cool whip and lime juice. Just mix it all up and dig in! A little lime juice can help keep the sliced apple from turning brown.
That’s it! I hope you have a fantastic pinch proof day!
