We love this easy teriyaki chicken recipe. It makes the best week night meal.
We’re taking our favorite chicken marinade and using it as a sauce for the best teriyaki chicken. We’re crazy for this super easy four ingredient chicken marinade. When you reduce it down, it makes a delicious teriyaki sauce for chicken. There’s a few different ways to cook the chicken. You can grill it or pan sear it. We found it works great when you do both! If you grill up a bunch of chicken with the marinade and if you’re lucky enough to have some chicken breasts leftover, the next night, you can make teriyaki chicken. It’s so good, just like take out, only better because you made it from scratch!
Ingredients you’ll need to make Teriyaki Chicken:
- Brown sugar
- Oil
- Soy sauce
- Vinegar
- Chicken breasts

How to make Teriyaki Chicken:

If you plan to use leftover chicken with 4 ingredient marinade, just shred the cooked chicken, mix up another batch of the marinade and cook it in a sauce pan letting the marinade reduce down tossing the cooked chicken all around in it as it reduces. Serve it with steamed broccoli, rice and sprinkle with a little sesame seeds, and dinner is served!
Day old rice Chicken Teriyaki:
If you are really into using your leftovers like we are (no food waste here), you can make our favorite chicken fried rice with both leftover white rice and leftover cooked chicken. So basically we are turning this chicken into three nights of dinners: day 1-grilled chicken Day 2-teriyaki chicken Day 3-Chicken Fried Rice.
