This new tortilla folding method first trending on TikTok is too fun not share. Next time you make a quesadilla, you have to try this cool way to fold a tortilla! It’s such a simple idea that really gets you thinking: “What can I wrap hack next?”

This fun way to wrap up a tortilla was first spotted on TikTok. Basically you take a burrito sized tortilla and visually divide it into four quadrants. With kitchen shears or a knife cut up the center of the tortilla to the middle and stop. Add different ingredients to each of the four sections. Then you fold each section into the next (three folds), and then you are left with a tortilla triangle to warm up in a hot skillet or panini press until the cheese melts and warms up the rest. It’s the most genius way to wrap up a tortilla with all the things!
Tips and Tricks:
There’s a few things to help guarantee success for this fun way to wrap up a quesadilla.
- Use a big burrito size tortilla.
- Don’t overfill each section.
- Think of section 1 &2 as the cool side and section 3 & 4 as the warm side.
- Don’t over cook.
What if you can’t think of four different ingredients for each section?
If you can’t think of four different ways to fill the tortilla, just divide the tortilla into three sections. You cut to the center of the tortilla just the same, just visually divide it into thirds.
Ingredients:
Crunch Wrap Supreme (Tortilla Wrap Hack)
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 small yellow onion, diced fine
- 1 tablespoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- sour cream
- taco seasoning
- burrito size tortillas
- romaine lettuce, chopped
- cherry or grape tomatoes, cut in half
- pineapple (optional)
- tortilla chips, small pieces
- Mexican Blend cheese, grated
- refried beans
How to make a Crunch Wrap Supreme with the tortilla wrap hack:
- Brown the ground beef: Make the taco meat: In a large skillet set to medium high heat, add the diced onion with olive oil and cook until translucent. Add the ground beef and cook until brown, breaking it up into crumbles as you cook. Add in the cumin and salt. Transfer meat to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess grease.
- Mix half a packet of taco seasoning with 8oz. of sour cream until combined.
- Place the tortilla down and cut up the center and stop at the middle point.
- Layer on the ingredients into the four sections: 1-lettuce and tomatoes (and pineapple) 2-seasoned sour cream and chips 3-grated Mexican blend cheese 4-refried beans and seasoned ground beef
- Fold the tortilla three times: section 1 over to section 2, section 1 & 2 over to section 3 and finally sections 1-2-3 over the section four.
- Melt that cheese: Place folded tortilla onto a hot skillet to warm up on both sides.
- Cut down the center: Use a knife or pizza cutter to cut it in half. Serve with guacamole or… as is…and enjoy!
TikTok Tortilla Wrap Hack: How To:
- Make the Cut: cut your tortilla with a knife or kitchen shears up the center and stop at the middle. This cut is the key to the magic of folding the tortilla three times.
- Add the Fillings: Add different ingredients to each of the four sections. We found that it’s best to add the cheese to section 3 or 4 because the cheese will melt best in one of these two sections.
- Make the Folds: Starting with section one, fold it over to section two, now fold all to section three and finally fold section three over to section four.
- Warm it Up: Now melt that cheese! Place onto a hot skillet or panini press to warm it up. You can also just eat it as is if you choose to make a cold tortilla wrap.
Tortilla Trend Crunch Wrap Supreme:
I’ve always loved the Crunch Wrap Supreme at Taco Bell, and I’ve seen people make it at home, but I’ve always been intimidated by how to wrap it. This method of tortilla wrapping is perfect for making a crunch wrap supreme! Here’s what you need:
1-lettuce, cherry tomatoes and pineapple (optional – but so good!)
2-sour cream mixed with taco seasoning and tortilla chips (for the crunch!)
3-Grated Mexican Cheese Blend
4-Refried Beans and Ground Beef (cooked and seasoned)
We tried a few other variations on this tortilla trend, like BBQ Chicken.
If using a skillet:
You can warm up the tortilla on a panini press or in a skillet. If using a skillet to melt the cheese, when adding the ingredients to each section, it’s helpful to remember that after you fold it up, only section 3 and section 4 will come into direct contact with heat if using a skillet. So when you are adding ingredients to the tortilla sections, it’s best to add the cheese and meat to section 3 & 4 and colder things to sections 1 & 2.

What kind of tortilla should I use for the Tortilla Trend Wrap Hack?
This method of wrapping a tortilla up, is best done with a large burrito sized tortilla. Also it’s best to use a precooked tortilla. If using a tortilla that you cook at home, make sure to cook it first.
