Training Table Ranch Dressing Recipe:
My very first job when I turned 16 was at a restaurant here in Utah called the Training Table. Sadly the Training Table Restaurants are no longer open. JCWs another delicious restaurant here in Utah has a lot of similar menu options like Training Table did, like the amazing cheese fries with the Ultimate dipping sauce and so much more. I was hoping JCWs would have the same delicious ranch dressing that I loved so much from Training Table, but sadly they don’t. That’s why I’m thrilled to have recently found it to share it here with you!
Ingredients:
- 2 cups mayo
- 1 cup hot water
- 3/4 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese (or Romano)
- 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
- 1 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
How to make Training Table Ranch Dressing:
- In a medium sized bowl mix together the hot water, parmesan cheese, mustard, garlic powder, salt, fresh cracked pepper.
- Add in the mayonnaise and mix well. Transfer to serving container and refrigerate until chilled.
How long will Training Table Ranch keep in your fridge?
This homemade ranch will keep in your fridge for up to two weeks…if it lasts that long. It’s so good!
What to serve this ranch with?
Everything you love to enjoy with regular ranch dressing, is tru for this ranch dressing:
- salad
- chicken strips
- pizza
- quesadillas
- …you name it!
Substitutions:
You can use Romano cheese in place of Parmesan cheese in this recipe. Romano has a more sharp flavor compared to Parmesan cheese.
Can you use Kraft Parmesan cheese in place of freshly grated parmesan cheese? I wouldn’t recommend it, but if that is all you have, you can surely give it a try and decide for yourself what you like best.
Tools needed to make this recipe:
- microplane grater – good for getting finely grated parmesan cheese
- pepper grinder – good for getting fresh cracked pepper
What happened to the Training Table Restaurant?
After 40 years of being loved by so many in the Utah communities, Training Table Restaurant a family owned business closed it’s doors. Reports of on going family disputes is the reason for the restaurant closing.
