Last month I shared with you guys my new favorite crafting tool: the Minc Foil Applicator by Heidi Swapp. One of the things I was thrilled to learn with this new crafting tool is that you can create your own designs to add foil to!

Last year we shared a neat printable of the United States flag that lists all the United States in the order that they became a state. Well, I ran this print through my Minc machine and added a neat metallic shine to it with red and blue foils, and I love how it turned out!

Here’s an up close look at the neat metallic shine the colored foils add…I shared a little video on Instagram so you could see the shine in action.

Before the Minc, we only had a laser jet printer at home. The Minc only works with a toner style printer. After seeing this cute project using the Minc on PersiaLou. We bought a toner printer to have at home. I’m excited to try different ways to #foilallthethings!

Here’s a short video showing the Minc in action. It takes about a minute to run the full 12×12 folder with your project through the Minc. The perfect time to get a few squats in while you wait…haha!

I love that you can save the extra foil you don’t end up using and use it for smaller projects.

The Minc machine and accessories are available at Hobby Lobby and Jo-Ann, as well as a number of local stores and online shops…like Amazon. While there are many ways to apply foil to projects, none are as simple and consistent as using the Minc.

We also ran a regular style flag through the Minc. For these flags, we used blue and red foils, it’s a fun print to keep up from Memorial Day to Flag Day the 4th of July…celebrating all the patriotic holidays.
