Pink Peppermint Dipped Pretzels make a great salty sweet treat to give or enjoy for yourself.
Do you love salty sweet treats? These Valentine’s Day Pretzels are the answer to that salty sweet craving. Here’s the thing…our friends brought white chocolate peppermint bark dipped pretzel “chips” over… during the holidays that were so good! I basically have been thinking about them since Christmas…they were that good! I noticed we had some candy cane Hershey kisses leftover from Christmas and guess what…when you melt them in the microwave, the red and white stripes mixed together makes pink! So these Valentine dipped pretzels have a minty flavor, and we love it! They taste like peppermint bark pretzels, and you’ll want to eat them all!
You can make these with regular candy melts, but if you happen to have some candy cane kisses, you’ll have to try melting them to make these! I love how pretzel twists are sort of heart shaped. They work perfect for Valentine’s Day.
Here’s what you need:
-a bag of pretzel twists
-candy melts or Candy Cane kisses
–micro heart sprinkles
Working in small batches at a time, melt the candy melts or kisses in a glass bowl for a minute or so until soft and melted. I like the look of not dipping the entire pretzel into the candy melts, plus it’s a lot less mess when you have a dry spot to hang onto while you dip. Place them onto a parchment lined sheet pan and sprinkle with micro heart sprinkles before the candy melts dry.
Now that you have cute treats…you need to package them up CUTE! I have a thing for pretty paper, and these hard bottom cellophane bag are perfect for showing off the treats and the pretty paper too.
For the packaging this is what you need:
-cute paper (of course!)
–hard bottom cellophane bags
– a ribbon or string to tie a bow
-a paper hole punch
– a mini score board
To make these little bags, just measure the paper to fit inside of the bag. It helps to have a mini score board to make a straight line crease to fold the paper. When the paper fits inside just right, you can fill the bag with your treats and fold the top over to close it. With a paper hole punch, punch through all the layers and then finish it off with a little string tied in a bow. Pretty simple, but oh so cute!
That’s it! Have fun making sweet treats for everyone you love! Just for fun, I wanted to share our Valentine Baking Jar…it makes me happy. Filled with cookie cutters and all the festive red and pink paper for Valentine’s Day I could find. It’s a simple way to add a little holiday decor to the kitchen.
Have a great day!
