I made this sweet little Valentine’s Day vignette recently when I found this little red vespa while thrifting. I just added some red and pink paper heart balloons made with this die heart balloon from Lifestyle Crafts. The funny part about it is that my son Aiden has now deemed most of his toys “decorations” after I tried to explain to him that this little vespa is a decoration right now. HaHa! As soon as today’s over, it’s all his! Until next year. 😉
In honor of this day of love, I have to share this sweetest new animated short from Disney called Paperman. If you saw Wreck It Ralph in the theatre, than you probably saw this when you were there. It’s just so sweet. I cried when I saw it.
I happened to see it for the first time on the one year anniversary that our little baby girl Afton had passed. It was a sad day, and escaping to the movies was the best way to deal with the sad day.
There are so many things I love about this little animated short. I love that it’s all in black and white, except for the red lips and the paper smooch. I love that the background is in 2D while the characters are in 3D. I love that its in old New York City. I love that it’s all about LOVE. …just what I needed on that sad day, and today.
