What are walking tacos?
Aside from being delicious, walking tacos are tacos on the go. They are tacos served in a chip bag like Doritos or Frito’s filled with all the yummy taco fixings.
What do I need to make walking tacos?
- ground beef
- finely diced onion
- 1 tablespoon cumin
- diced tomatoes
- sour cream
- shredded cheddar cheese
- sliced black olives
- chopped lettuce
- guacamole
- salsa or pico de gallo
- individual bags of Doritos or Fritos corn chips
How to make walking tacos:
- In a skillet brown ground beef together with diced onions and cumin
- Crush chips in the bag and open the bag
- Fill with cooked ground beef and toppings of your choice like lettuce, sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, guacamole and salsa.
When to serve walking tacos:
Walking tacos can be served any time, but here are some ideas:
- camping
- feeding a crowd: anywhere from 30 to 200 people

How much meat per person?
The amount of meat that you need to make walking taco all depends on how many people you are planning to feed. We suggest about half a cup of ground beef per person per bag of chips.

Walking Tacos are the on-the-go tacos served in an individual chip bag.
Ingredients
For the Taco Meat:
- ground beef
- 1 onion finely diced
- 1 tablespoon cumin
Toppings:
- Individual bags of Doritos or Fritos
- lettuce chopped
- black olives sliced
- sour cream
- salsa or diced tomatoes
- guacamole
- cheddar cheese grated
Instructions
Make the taco meat:

In a skillet: brown the ground beef with the finely diced onions and cumin.
To Serve:

Prepare all the topping of choice... ready to serve.

For each individual serving, gently crush the chips in the bag, open the bag of chips and add the seasoned ground beef and the toppings of your choice. Enjoy!
