Celebrate Ice Cream Month with this fun DIY project.
Did you know July is National Ice Cream Month? It’s been all about ice cream in July…and pretty much every night at my house (did I say that out loud?). We pretty much LOVE ice cream, it’s a staple around here. I’d take ice cream over cake, pie, donuts, baked goods…you name it. Ice cream trumps them all.
So I had to celebrate National Ice Cream month for my first project using the new Cricut Explore. This project combines three of my favorite things into one project: paper crafts, home decor and ice cream!
Using the new Cricut Explore, we designed this fun ice cream scoop stack.
It was a fun first project to take the Cricut Explore for a spin. It’s super user friendly and it cut perfectly. It’s so nice that you don’t have to load software onto your computer, the design space is all web based. The dial for selecting which media you’ll be cutting made it really easy without any trial and error.
Here’s a closer look at this fun ice cream paper craft/home decor project:
To frame this project, I bought this frame at Ikea for $10 and it works great with this fun ice cream art. The Frame is called the Norrlida, and it measures 27 1/4 x 11 1/2 inches.
It looks great on the wall. I love it for Summer, and it makes fun kitchen art too. I might leave it up year round.
If you’d like to create one of these for your home too, you can download these cutting files with the link below (right click on the link below and select “Save Link As” to download to your computer):
