Let’s make some cute little Curious George monkey faces! To go with these treat bag toppers, I picked up some banana Runts candy in the bulk food section of our local grocery store.
To make these simple monkey faces here is what you’ll need:
I used my CuttleBug (a hand cranked die cutting machine), but you could also use paper craft punches. For this craft, I used two circle cutting dies, a heart shaped die and an oval shaped die. I have sets of nesting dies that come in a variety of sizes. You will also need some chocolate brown card stock and kraft colored card stock. Here are the links to shop:
– circle nesting dies
– oval nesting dies
– heart nesting dies
– CuttleBug Die Cutting machine
– small hole punch
– kraft card stock
– brown card stock
– mini cellophane bags
– banana runts candy
Once you have all the paper shapes cut out: 1 heart, 1 oval, 1 circle and two small sized circles, you can assemble your cute little monkey face.
Isn’t it crazy that with just a few shapes you can make a monkey face?!
With a small hole paper punch, punch out two little eyes toward the top middle of the heart.
To make it easier to line up the two eyes, use a pencil to mark where you want the eyes to be and turn your punch upside down to center the pencil marks before you punch the paper out.
With just a pencil trace the smile line for the monkey’s mouth on the oval shape. I used the cutting die to trace this line across.
With your pencil make two little marks for the monkey’s nose.
We made a simple printable with a bunch of fun sayings to go with this cute Monkey face. “Go Bananas!” – “Thanks for coming” – “I’m Bananas For You” – You can make this printable work for party favors or just a sweet treat to give.
You just need a pair of scissors to cut them out and some double stick tape to stick them on.
They would make adorable party favors for a birthday party! A Curious George birthday party!
Hulu sent over this adorable Curious George plush toy and my son squealed like it was Christmas morning when we opened the box. He’s pretty lovable.

However you choose to use these, they’re sure to put a smile on someone’s face,
