Easy Greek Feta Dip
Simple Greek Feta Dip is the easiest dip to serve up to family and friends. Serve it with a warm soft baguette thinly sliced or with pita chips. We love greek recipes like this one. Here’s a fun spin on a classic Greek Salad: Greek Salad on a Stick, it makes a fun appetizer, or our favorite Greek Lemon Chicken and Rice Soup is one of our favorites on a chilly weeknight.
Easy Greek Feta Dip
Salty feta cheese with ripe red Romas, thinly sliced green onions, olive oil and Greek Seasoning served on a thinly sliced soft baguette.
Ingredients:
- 1 8oz. block of Feta Cheese (don’t use the pre-crumbled kind)
- 3-4 Roma Tomatoes, chopped
- 2-3 green onions, thinly diced
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 3 teaspoons Cavender’s Greek Seasoning
- 1 baguette, sliced (for serving)
How to make Greek Feta Dip:
- Onto a large platter add about 1/4 cup olive oil (or more if desired).
- Add the tomatoes and green onions.
- Crumble the feta cheese and sprinkle it all over the tomatoes and green onions.
- Sprinkle the Greek Seasoning on top.
- Gently mix it all together.
- Serve with a sliced soft baguette.
Optional: Add a drizzle of a balsamic vinegar glaze to each serving.
Crumbled Feta vs. Block Feta:
The block of feta cheese is the better option for this appetizer vs. crumbled feta cheese, because it is more moist. We prefer to crumble the block of feta at home by using a knife to cut into small cubes and two forks to crumble it.
How long does Greek Feta Dip last:
Once combined this dip is best served at room temperature. If there is any leftover it can keep in the fridge for possibly a day. Tomatoes tend to lose their flavor in the fridge, so this dip is best consumed within the first 24 hours.
What to serve with feta dip?
We love to serve this dip with a thinly sliced baguette. Our local grocery store sells Cheesecake Factory bread. This dip would also be great with pita chips. You can even serve this over salads or tacos. It’s very versatile.
